UI/UX Designer

We are looking for a talented user-centered designer to help us raise the bar for our public and internal facing web and mobile platforms. You will be working with internal teams and external partners, to create clean UX designs and compelling UI visuals. Creating overall concepts for user experience within a business webpage or product. Interactions are intuitive and easy for customers and internal users.
 
 This is an onsite position in Mission Viejo, CA. 20 hours per week in-house, based on current project workload. We expect to increase this over the next 3 months as more planned projects get underway.
 
 RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and deliver experiences optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces
• Design the aesthetics to be implemented within a website or product, from the layout menus and drop-down options to colors and fonts
• Build storyboards to conceptualize designs and convey project plans to clients and management
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple milestones and projects efficiently
• Professional written and interpersonal skills
• Support product vision using wireframes, prototypes and mocks
• Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions in collaboration with Product Managers
• Consider existing applications and evaluating their UX effectiveness
• Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate designs

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES

• Expertise in UI/UX design software like InVision, Sketch, Balsamiq is a must.
• Strong CSS3 and HTML5 skills. JavaScript skills are a definite plus
• A deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design
• Ability to iterate your designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently
• Be willing to help teammates, share knowledge with them, and learn from them
• Be open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism
• Be passionate about all things UX and other areas of design and innovation. Research and showcase knowledge in the industry’s latest trends and technologies

EXPERIENCE

3-5 years of demonstrated experience in creating and implementing UI design
